Well it's been nearly
a month, but I finally have done another episode's screenshots.
And yeah, I skipped around again, sorry. I do them in the order
I feel like. I can't guarantee which episode will be next! ^_^;
On another note, I've changed up the way the screenshots are displayed
for the newer episodes (53+).
Now instead of all the thumbnails showing on one big page, they're
split up into pages of 50 thumbs each. So it should be easier
to load each page for some people. And hopefully take some strain
off the server if people aren't loading all the thumbs at once.
But that only applies to episodes 53 and up (except for 56).

screens so quickly. I've been off work this past week, but I start
working again tomorrow, so I won't have as much time to get them

I'm sorry I've been
slacking with reporting on Sonic X news in the past few months.
My job has been keeping me busy and when I'm not working I feel
too lazy to do much else. But I'm going to try to start changing
that! Many of you probably know, Sonic X is getting an additional
26 episodes, episodes 53-78. These episodes started airing in
France on March 12! So far there is no confirmed air date
for Japan or the US for these new episodes. Since demand seems
to be high, I will be providing screenshots from TV rips of the
French broadcast, though there are station logos on the images.
I can't do anything about that. As soon as DVDs of episodes 53-78
start coming out in Japan, I will be replacing these TV screens
with much higher quality DVD ones. But for now, enjoy the TV screens!
Episode 56 is up with 201 images. Yes I know I skipped 53-55,
I don't know why, I'll get them up eventually too.

This is it, finally
I have completely finished! Screenshots for all 52 episodes of
Sonic X are now done! Well, I'm done until the (semi-confirmed)
new Sonic X series starts in Japan anyway. The Final total is
7,146 screens!
Also, new episodes (27+) of Sonic
X begin airing on the Fox Box on September 18, for those of you
who watch the English dub. Check your local listings, and all
that.

Yes, you're reading
that right. While I was on vacation in North Carolina for the
past week, I had my laptop with me. And during some of the free
time I had, I managed to get screenshots for 8 episodes done!
That's a total of 1,304 new screenshots. I better not hear any
complaining about lack of updates now!
And a bit of important news, one
of the background artists for Sonic X has listed on his current
projects: "Sonic X (New Series)". Though the start date
and channel are still undetermined according
to the page (Japanese), this is a bit of good news for the
possibility of more episodes of Sonic X.

I only had time to
do one episode today. Anyone who asks when the next episode(s)
will be up gets a swift kick to the rear. I'm on vacation until
Labor Day. I worked my butt off on these this week, and these
7 episodes over the past 4 days ought to keep you people happy
enough. It's amazing how many people can only ask when the next
episode will be up, even when they're getting two a day.
Oh, and if you don't see links
to the screenshots for the episodes that were added this week,
try refreshing the page. They're there, it's just your browser
reading from it's cache. Don't email me and tell me the screens
aren't there. I check myself for every episode I upload.

I found time today to get episode 33 done. Sorry there was once
again a month between updates, and I'll thank you for your continued
patience! Also, sorry there's only 83 images for this episode,
but there was a lot of parts with just talking between the human
characters, and screenshots of Sonic X's human characters are
usually pretty boring.

I'm
gonna say something here right now, when there's a long delay
between updates, there's a reason for it! There's no need
to flame me because of it, and it certainly won't help it get
done any faster. Just mentioning that because I got a few really
nasty emails just because it had been almost a month since the
last time I posted new screenshots. The reason for the delay is
that I started a new job at the beginning of this month, and I
only really have enough time to get them done on the weekends
for the time being. It took me a while to adjust to the new schedule
and to get things done in real life that needed to be taken care
of. But I found the time to sit down today and get the shots for
episode 32 done. (Took me about 5 hours with a few interruptions
throughout). So enjoy! There's over 4,000 screenshots now!
Also,
it seems the first two US Sonic X DVDs have been delayed to June
1.

29 DVD Screenshots + Other News

I've been getting
a lot of emails lately asking when new screens are gonna be up,
etc. Fact is folks, I work on this stuff as time in between real
life stuff alows. And I've been pretty busy lately. For example,
I was going to do this on Monday, but I got called in to work
on both Monday and Tuesday, and I was supposed to be off both
days. Today I finally managed to sit down for a few hours and
get these new DVD screen captures done, for Episode 29.
In other news, C21Media reported
a couple weeks ago that TMS is producing 26 additional episodes
of Sonic X, in addition to the original 52 that have already aired
in Japan. The new episodes are supposed to be finished later this
year, but that is all that has been said about them so far. Now,
only one site has reported this so far, and I haven't seen anything
about it on any Japanese sites, so keep that in mind. It is possible
though that if it is true, more info will pop up about it later
on. I'll report further when I have some solid information.
Also, the cover of Sonic X DVD
Vol. 10 has been added on in the left sidebar of releases. Shadow
fans should like it. Another note about the Sonic X DVDs, Vol.
10 marks the last Hi-Spec release. Vol. 11 and on will only have
regular editions. The VHS versions will continue to be produced.
Those of you who noticed Vol. 9 & 10 were only 3 episodes
each will also be happy to know that it goes back to 4 episodes
each for Vol. 11 & 12.
No news on the subtitling front
that I can comment on at this time, as I don't know when I'll
have time to do more subtitle timing. Yes, we know about WPP's
little comment in their sub of Episode 11. Do we care? Not really.
We're not a fansubbing group trying to do every episode of the
show, we're just Sonic fans who subtitle what hasn't been done
yet when we have time, for other Sonic fans.

X - Episode 11... Fansub!

Surprise, we've subtitled
and released Episode 11. Big thanks to JavaFox for doing translating
this time. Wouldn't have been possible without him. :) BitTorrent
download is here, on s0nicfreak. What happened to episodes
3-10 you ask? Well, another group, WPP,
has subbed and released all those. We didn't want to waste the
time and resources doing something that's already been done. And
note we're not trying to compete with them at all. We have different
ways of doing things, and I know some of you have suggested we
team up with WPP to do Sonic X, but it's likely a partnership
to complete the series wouldn't work out too well with our different
ways of doing things. If someone from WPP wants to talk things
over with me though, feel free to drop me a line.

Recently, a rumor
has started that Sonic X could be cancelled before it finishes
its run on TV in Japan. This is not true. The series will complete
its 52 episode run. So let's not make a big deal out of a silly
rumor. :)
